Elections for Nepal’s new Constituent Assembly were held in April 2008, and a new Maoist-led Government was formed in August.
Nepal, the founding member of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), presently facing problems as conflict has been raised between the National Army (NA) and Maoist Guerilla i.e. the People's Liberation Army (PLA).
